Assessment of possibility and variants of development for power generation field of Almaty city with use of nuclear power sources

Description

It is noted, that for solution of Almaty energy supply it is advisably to put into operation unit of NPP with capacity 1,000 MW on South-Kazakhstan thermal power plant' site and construction of the first unit of Nuclear Heat Provision System. Investment cost for the nuclear reactor will not exceeds 1.3 billion US/dollars and for Nuclear Heat Provision System - 200 millions US/dollars. For the both projects the new generation reactors with enhanced safety were selected
