Isothermal cross-section of the Eu-Co-Ge system at 670 K

Description
Using the method of X-ray phase analysis isothermal cross section of phase diagram of system Eu-Co-Ge at 670 K is investigated. Three ternary compounds Eusub(2)Cosub(1.0-1.2)Gesub(1.0-0.8), EuCoGe3, EuCosub(2.5)Gesub(1.5) have been detected for the first time. Using the powder method, crystal structure of two compounds is determined: compound EuCoGe3 is crystallized in BaNiSn3 structural type, lattice periods are as follows: a=0.4345 (2), c=0.9953 (6) nm; compound EuCosub(2.5)Gesub(1.5) is crystallized in BaAl4 structural type, lattice periods are as follows: a=0.4035 (5), c=0.9746 (4) nm
