Description
The paper considers the effect of gamma-rays on certain characteristics of reactive fuels derived from Azerbaidzhan crude oil. The experiments in question have shown that if the co-polymer SAN-1 is added in amounts of less than 0.1 wt% to a fuel which is to be given preliminary radiation treatment (doses up to 5x108 rad), the deposit formed in the fuel is 90% less than in a fuel irradited without the co-polymer. The table provided in the paper makes it clear that if SAN-1 is applied in amounts no greater than 0.05 wt%, the thermal stability of the T-1 fuel is assured
