Effect of nuclear binding and Fermi motion on the ratio RA=σL/σT in deep-inelastic electron scattering
Description
The effect of nuclear binding and Fermi motion on the ratio RA=σL/σT is estimated using a convolution model appropriate at finite Q2 values and x> or approx.0.2. The difference in RA compared to the free nucleon ratio RN is predicted to be negligible within experimental error bars. The Q2 dependence of the EMC effect is also investigated. (orig.)
