Radionuclide ventriculography: Methods
Description
Radionuclide ventriculography provides a noninvasive way to evaluate ventricular function both visually and quantitatively. This chapter explains methods of obtaining high quality radionuclide ventriculograms using a gated equilibrium blood pool technique. Since nuclear cardiology is performed on many different cameras and computer systems, a single set of acquisition criteria will not be applicable to every imaging laboratory. The acquisition parameters suggested in this chapter provide the laboratory with consistent and clinically useful studies. They can be modified according to the equipment and clinical needs of other departments
