On the metal resistance to microplastic deformations

Description
The micro-plasticity of high-strength precision Kh40NYu3 chromium-nickel-aluminium alloy and 18KhNMA steel heat treated to various hardness values was studied. Precision elastic limits for delta = 0.0005; delta = 0.001; delta = 0.005 after various heat treatments were determined. The Deformation vs. Stress relationship is describable in terms of a parabola whose shape depends substantially on the structure state of the alloy. The high levels of precision elastic limit correspond to highly disperse structures
