Accessibility determination of solar radiation by using GIS tools

Slovakia belongs to countries with relatively good condition for using solar energy. Geographic information systems (GIS) contents many methods, procedures and tools, which can be used for better widen of using renewable energies in the Slovakia. Using map algebra is one of the possibilities. Map algebra enables to combine one or more layers mathematically. Accessibility of solar radiation can be determinate by layers combinations. Final layer is used by making decision and finding location foe using solar energy. (authors)
