SLOWPOKE epi-cadmium neutron flux in activation analysis of trace elements

Description
A cadmium-shielded irradiation site installed in the core of the Dalhousie University SLOWPOKE reactor is evaluated. Sensitivities for a number of elements are determined for different irradiation, decay and counting times. Cadmium ratios for various nuclides and results of mapping of the neutron flux in different irradiation sites - prior to, and after the Cd site installation - are also presented
