VT14 alloy strain and strenth under combined tension

Description

It is shown how the structural state of VT14 alloy affects its mechanical properties in the biaxial stressed state. Experiments were carried out on thin-walled pipe-like specimens loaded by the axial force and internal pressure. Studies were made with four batches of specimens corresponding to various conditions of thermal material treatment. The regime of the VT14 alloy thermal treatment is shown to influence not only the size of the domain limited by an arbitrary curve but also the shape of the latter
