Λ hypernuclei by quasifree (π+,K+) reaction on 12C

Description
Probabilities of ΛN scattering in nuclei and Λ hypernuclear formation are studied by the 12C(π+,K+) reaction which gave ΛN scattering cross section in nuclei. The results show good agreement with the calculation based upon the total ΛN cross section which is suppressed due to the Pauli blocking and modified by the Fermi averaging. ((orig.))
