Activation cross-section measurements relevant to the future investigations on high intense neutron generator NG-12

Description

The activation technique is characterised with high accuracy, sensitivity and wide field of applications. The parameters of neutron generator NG- 12 are compared, with those of the other generators. Some results obtained at the high intense neutron generator of the Institute of Experimental Physics, Kossut University, Debrecen and variable energy cyclotron MCG-20 ATOMKI, Debrecen are presented. Some methodological investigations relevant to accuracy of the activation cross-section measurements are planed. The program for cross-section measurements on different isotopes of Hf, In, Lu has been developed. The present status and needs of the cross-sections foreseen to be measured are discussed
