Measurement of lifetimes of 116-124Sn excited states in the (n,nγ) reaction

Description
The lifetimes of ∼20 levels in each 116,118,120,124Sn nuclei were measured using the Doppler-shift attenuation method in the (n,nγ) reaction. The correction factor in the recoil-nucleus moderation theory for Sn metal targets was defined by the 138Ba. The nature of levels with J=1, τ<0.01 ps and Eexc=3.3 MeV in 116-124Sn isotopes was discussed
