Description

Results of numeric and experimental investigations into the elements of an electron-optical system of a high-power klystron for the VLEPP collider are described. Net multibeam electron guns are used as an electron source. Optical system providing for the maximum electron beam transit is determined using a three-dimensional code. The numeric results are examined experimentally, and optical system elements are modified proceeding from the results of this examination. Investigations are continued. 3 refs.; 9 figs
