Neutron weapons. War prevention by credible deterrence
Description
The neutron bomb has prompted fierce and controversial public discussions which are more emotional than based on facts. Unaware of the factual repercussions this weapon has, it has been described as the most inhumane weapon ever. By saying so, the public is wrongly informed and is made feel insecure. The following contributions made by competent authorities may be used for getting to the point, pointing out that the neutron bomb is primarily a defensive weapon. (orig.)

Die Neutronenwaffe hat in der Oeffentlichkeit heftige und kontroverse Diskussionen, mehr gefuehlsbetont als sachlich, ausgeloest. In Unkenntnis der tatsaechlichen Wirkung dieser Waffe wurde und wird sie als die inhumanste Waffe dargestellt. Damit wird die Oeffentlichkeit falsch informiert und verunsichert. Die Beitraege von kompetenter Seite sind geeignet, die Diskussion zu versachlichen und darzustellen, dass es sich bei der Neutronenwaffe in erster Linie um eine Verteidigungswaffe handelt. (orig.)
