Description
A geometrical description of the dynamics of membranes coupled to non-abelian gauge fields and to gravitation is proposed. It uses dimensional reduction of a Kaluza-Klein space. The motion of membranes corresponds to minimal surface of this space and the conserved surface currents associated with the gauge group satisfy a generalized London equation. (orig.)
