Environmental impact of gas transportation
Description
The gas transit transportation infrastructure of Slovakia is presented. The environmental impacts of this system are evaluated, and the magnitude and distribution of the main pollutant emissions is demonstrated. A reconstruction program of the transit system is described, including new technologies to decrease negative environmental effects. Perspectives of the Slovak gas industry and its approach to the EC standards are pointed out. (R.P.)
