Review of the analytic methods for improvement of nuclear power plant availability. Final report
Description
Different ways are described in which plant availability can be improved, e.g., component design improvement and system configuration changes. The roles of mathematical programming and comparative trade-off analysis are studied. Considerations involved in the process of allocation of availability goal and in deriving optimum preventive maintenance policies are described. Analytic tools to implement on-line monitoring, job scheduling, and optimum plant layout are reviewed. Comments are provided on the feasibility of computerizing plant availability analysis
