Temperature veriability of relative brittleness of ceramics
Description
The results of author's and published studies of ceramics and refractories deformation diagrams for different temperatures are analyzed. It is found that temperature changes in such diagrams in brittle and relatively brittle ceramics can be considerably different. It is shown that temperature increase in relatively brittle ceramics can decrease inelasticity and therefore increase the measure of brittleness. The characteristics of ceramics and refractories mechanical behaviour, i.e. relative brittleness, is suggested
