Description

Solubility in the Na2MoO4-NaBr-H2O system is studied by the isothermal saturation method at 25 deg C. Solid solutions and chemical compounds are shown not to be formed in this eutonic-type system. Crystal hydrates: Na2xMoO4x2H2o, NaBrx2H2O, are the solid phases of the system. The eutonic solution contains 36.97 mass% NaBr and 2.49 mass% Na2MoO4. Density, the refractive index, dynamic viscosity, surface tension, specific electric conductivity and pH of the system saturated solutions are determined. Isotherms of molar volume, kinematic viscosity, ionic strength, equivalent and reduced electric conductivity of solutions and apparent molar volume of the salt sum in these system saturated solutions are also calculated on the basis of these experimental data. Rigorous correlation between change of these solution properties and solubility in the system is marked
