Peroxofluorides of zirconium and hafnium

Description

The processes of Zr and Hf precipitation by alkali in the H2O2 medium from potassium and ammonium hexafluorozirconates (hafnates) in the form of peroxide compounds are considered and compared. Ammonium and potassium fluoroperoxozirconates of the M3Zr3[O2]4F6OHx3H2O composition where M=NH4+,K+ and ammonium fluoroperoxohafnate (NH4)3Hf3[O2]4F6OHx3H2O are obtained, their structure according to absorption infrared spectra data is discussed
