Shape resonances in the X-ray absorption spectra of hexagonal BN

Description
Combined consideration of the nearest thin structure of absorption K-spectra of boron and nitrogen atoms in hexagonal boron nitride laminar crystal is carried out in terms of quasimolecular approach. Free localized states in solids are approximated using molecular states of B3N3 cluster enabling to take account of π-interaction between boron and nitrogen atoms in atomic layer of crystal. Consideration of influence of interference effects on spectra structure in the surrounding of absorbing atoms of boron and nitrogen between the first and second coordination spheres is conducted using localized orbital technique to describe formation mechanism of the nearest fine structure of crystal X-ray absorption spectra
