Description
Novel through-space charge transfer organic single-molecule white light emitters (OSMWLEs) BT2OxCz are developed by integrating a few short and long alkyl chains between the D-A moieties. Experimental and theoretical results revealed that the involvement of higher-lying excited states (Sn/Tm) leading to dual-fluorescence and dual phosphorescence. Dual-fluorescence is due to locally excited state and TADF while trace amount of isomeric impurity and H/J-aggregation resulted in dual phosphorescence, thereby collectively leading white light emission. (WLE) in amorphous solids at RT in air. (author)
