Optically detected magnetic resonance studies of bound exciton triplets for complex defects in GaP

Description
The present understanding of experimental results from optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR) studies of bound exciton triplets is discussed, with examples from isoelectronic complex defects in GaP. The emphasis is on some interesting effects recently realized, such as excitation energy transfer, strong formally forbidden electronic (and nuclear) spin transitions, singlet-triplet coupling, level-anticrossings, etc., and their important role in the interpretation of ODMR data.
