Electromagnetic corrections to the effective hamiltonian for strangeness changing decays and ε'/ε

Description

The effective hamiltonian for ΔS=1 decays is calculated in the leading logarithmic approximation including electromagnetic corrections to O(α log M2). New terms, neglected in previous analyses, appear in the theoretical expression for ε'/ε: They give a minor contribution, except for calculations done in the large N approximation. The isospin breaking corrections are also discussed. (orig.)
