Automatical analysis of gamma ray spectra

Description
This paper describes a fully automated, simple and fast method for the search of photopeaks in gamma ray spectra obtained from different types of radiation detectors (semiconductors and scintillators). It identifies and separates the multiplets and finds the possible isotopes present in the source. If the detector efficiency and its distance to the source is known, their activities can be calculated. The method is implemented in a PASCAL program, and run in a IBM-PC/AT. Some examples of the method response are also shown. (Author)
