Description
In the light cone gauge, we investigate the relation between the Hilbert space and the correlation functions on the torus. We represent the Green functions of the chiral theory as a trace of the operators. The anomaly factor which is important for the modular invariance is derived from geometrical consideration. We check our formalism by using the free field representation. (orig.)
