Support of the Ukrainian power supply with the aim to shut down the Chernobyl nuclear reactor station

Germany and the Ukraine have signed an agreement for cooperation in a model project for backfitting a coal-fueled power plant with air pollution abatement equipment of latest standards, the funds contributed by Germany will amount to DM 17.25 millions. This coal-fueled power plant forms part of an investment programme for gradually replacing the power supplies from reactors of the Chernobyl type. (DG)

Deutschland und die Ukraine habe ein Abkommen ueber die modellhafte Ausruestung eines Kohlekraftwerkes mit Umweltschutztechnologie unterzeichnet. Die Bundesrepublik beteiligt sich mit 17,25 Mio DM. Das Kohlekraftwerk ist Bestandteil des Ersatzprogrammes der Tschernobyl-Reaktoren. (DG)
