Cross calibration of departmental field chambers against secondary standard dosimetry laboratory (SSDL) calibrated chamber

Description
For dose delivery precision in radiotherapy, absorbed dose to water at reference point should be assessed. This project aims to cross calibrate the ND,w factors for all different field chambers available in our department. Study was performed for 6MV photon beam using Varian Unique linear accelerator. Even though the calibration of reference chambers used for absolute dosimetry is recommended through a Primary Standard Dosimetry Laboratory (PSDL) or SSDL, it can be done at home department and cross verified before their due calibration period. Consistency and linearity checks were also performed for all the given chambers
