A Mellin transform technique for the heat kernel expansion
Description
It is shown, for a wide class of operators, that the solution to the associated heat equation may be obtained as a series. This is accomplished using the inverse Mellin transform of the Kernel of the s-th power of the operator, together with the analytic properties of the Kernel in the complex s-plane. (author)
