Formation and decomposition of molybdate structures in hydrotreatment catalysts under irradiation by a fast-electron beam of up to 2.0 MeV energy

Description
Results of investigation into the structure of Ni-Mo/Al2O3 catalysts, subjected to irradiation by high-power accelerated 1.2 MeV electron beam, are presented. The succession of radiation-thermal formation of Al2(MoO4)3 surface and volume phases, xNiO · MoO3 · yH2O solid solution and α- and β-NiMoO4 modifications, as well as their decomposition in radiation field of electron beam, is analyzed. 12 refs., 2 figs
