Hypoxic cell radiosensitizers and heavy charged particle radiations
Creators
Description
The effect of hypoxic cell sensitizers such as metronidazole and misonidazole on the oxygen enhancement ratio (OER) in spread Bragg peaks is studied. There is a significant decrease in OER for all the sensitizers studied and for energy beam of heavy ions studied. In addition, with the sensitizers, there is little drop in OER with increasing LET
