Description

We report room temperature negative magneto capacitance due to Fe+3 and Mn+4 valance states interactions and positive magneto capacitance due to Ti+4 and Mn+3 valence states interactions in manganites. These 60% Fe and 60% Ti dope manganites have been crystallized in rhombohedral symmetry. We document the photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange, crystal violet and indigo carmine dyes in visible light for the decolorization of wastewater using La0.7Sr0.3Mn1xFexO3 (x = 0.0,0.05, 0.1 and 0.5) manganites. These perovskite manganites were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy (SXAS) and UV—visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS). SXAS studies showed the presence of Mn (Mn+3/Mn+4) and Fe (Fe+3/Fe+4) mixed valences in Fe doped compositions
