Driving a steady current in a tokamak with electron cyclotron waves
Description
The electron kinetic equation is used to derive an analytic expression for the steady-state longitudinal current which can be driven in a plasma by electron cyclotron waves. A comparative analysis is made of the efficiency of current excitation by electron cyclotron waves and lower hybrid waves
