Description
UAV is a good remote sensing technology for mapping combining point cloud and photogrammetry in small areas. Major photogrammetric procedures such as air triangulation, external orientation, surface model creation, orthophoto collection and vector data collection are used for GIS requirements. Point cloud is a large collection of 3D height points. It is fundamental part of attribute in geodatabase to be processed as vector and raster data. The point cloud can be used in broad range of spatial modelling and analysis such as to find optimum location (suitable modelling), study the flow of water (hydrologic modelling), density analysis and utilize with many other spatial modelling techniques. The product generated from point cloud data are important for siting and site characterisation purposes. (author)
