Model of a dusty envelope around Vega star

  • 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Astronomicheskij Sovet

Description

Evolutionary model of dusty envelope around Vega is constructed. The shape of grain sizes spectrum is assumed to be independent of time. Infrared spectrum of the model fits observations (airborn and satellite) best of all for mass of the envelope 2x10-4 Msub(Sun), its radius 100 a.u. and age 108 years. A comparison of the calculated solar dust nebula model with that of Vega implies that optical depth (and possibility of detection in infrared) of such envelopes for A-stars is much higher than for later-type stars
