The development of PVC laminated steel sheet by an electron beam curing method
- 1. Nisshin Steel Co. Ltd., Tokyo (Japan)
Description
The authors have developed a poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC) film laminated steel sheet for the first time by an electron beam curing (EBC) technique. EBC adhesives, pretreatment methods, and improvements of PVC films against EB irradiation were studied in order to apply this EBC technique to the production of a PVC film laminated steel sheet. As a result, this process has enabled a high productivity and excellent qualities which are very difficult to gain by thermal curing processes. (author)
