MONIT, a stress corrosion and pitting resistant steel for sea water condenser tubing
Description
MONIT is a Ti stabilized ferritic steel with high Cr and Mo contents. The chemical composition is: C <= 0.25 - 25Cr - 4Ni - 4Mo - 0.4Ti. The mechanical and physical properties, the corrosion resistance, the fabrication and the use of MONIT tubing in condensers are discussed
