Description
As one of the solution methods for treating long-lived fission products, among the radioactive nuclides produced by nuclear power generation, transmutation processing using an accelerator has been proposed. This process requires the knowledge of the nuclear reaction data of long-lived radionuclides and their surrounding nuclides over a wide energy range. Inverse kinematics can be used to measure the reaction cross-section of radionuclides, which are usually difficult to use as targets. Since the isotopes produced can be identified, the cross-sectional area of each isotope can be obtained as a result. The cross-sectional area of each isotope obtained was compared with a theoretical model, and contributed to the accuracy upgrading of the theory. Ultimately, these cross-sections are expected to be used for nuclear transmutation processes and the specification formulation of a high-intensity accelerator. (A.O.)

(著者)Additional details
