Description
The knowledge of the nuclear forward amplitude fsub(n)(0) could provide unique information on the origin of resonances observed in heavy-ion induced reactions. Even for strongly absorbing systems this amplitude is often large and can be easily measured. The conditions under which it is possible to obtain both the amplitude and the phase of fsub(n)(0) are determined by the general properties of a nuclear forward glory. (orig.)
