Variational solution in a medium-modified Skyrme model
Description
In this letter we discuss a variational solution of the medium-modified Skyrme model. It is shown that the simple 3-parameter trial function very well reproduces the static properties of the generalized nucleons in free space as well as in homogeneous nuclear matter with constant density. (authors)
