The electrostatic potential in the semiconductor - vacuum - metal system before and after contact

Description
In the framework of non-local electrostatics the electrostatic potential Vj(x, δ φ) is calculated theoretically for the semiconductor-vacuum-metal system, which is in the contact. It is shown that the basic factor of the double electric layer formation in the case of the rectifying contact is the strong influence of the close located metal and the charge state of its surface on the space charge region formation in the semiconductor in SVM system before contact.
