Deep geological repositories for radioactive waste - Retrievability
Description
This illustrated Nagra document takes a look at retrievability aspects in connection with proposed deep geological repositories for radioactive wastes in Switzerland. Waste retrieval options and effects on long-term safety are discussed as are three scenarios for possible implementation. It is stated that deep geological repositories shall provide full passive safety on the basis of stepwise progress in concept development. The document is completed with suggestions for further reading
