Description
Rockwell International is developing an inherently safe 350 MWe Sodium Advanced Fast Reactor (SAFR), as one element in the US Department of Energy's advanced liquid metal reactor programme. The SAFR plant concept employs a 350 MWe pool-type liquid metal reactor 'Power Pak' as its basic module. Details of the design are given together with a cutaway diagram of the plant. (author)
