Description
Quality assurance is an integral part of environmental surveillance program. The implementation of well planned quality assurance program in environmental monitoring is a prerequisite to produce data for estimation of dose to members of public. The quality assurance program of our laboratory for gamma and beta measurements has been assessed by the annually organized proficiency test of IAEA and other national laboratories. This paper discusses the results of participation in inter comparison exercise conducted by IAEA and other national laboratories during the past 15 years. The overall performance evaluation results of our laboratory showed 74% of data in acceptable (A) level, 11% is accepted in warning (W) level and 15% in Non Accepted (NA) level. (author)
