Level of confidence in nuclear medicine

In a private hospital nuclear imaging laboratory, the digital computer can add additional dimensions to the level of confidence of studies by providing additional information of dependable quality. Several factors, however, must be taken into account when one is considering the purchase of a computer for use in an active clinic. A time-shared computer system which is always available to physicians for analysis of studies, while simultaneously permitting data acquisition, processing, and program development, is discussed
