Neutron radiography at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO)
Description
Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation has the installed capacity on its research reactor, Moata, to carry out neutron radiography on a commercial routine basis. Two neutron beams are available, one for research and development, and the larger horizontal facility for imaging similar components on a batch production line operation. This article describes the design and operating characteristics of the new neutron radiography beam part and a comparison is made with smaller facilities. 2 refs., 7 figs
