Project Rulison: summary of results and analyses

AbstractThe results of Project Rulison confirm the technical feasibility of stimulating the Mesaverde formation in the Rulison Field with nuclear explosives.Testing of the nuclear stimulated well provided the data necessary to analyze the well's performance and to predict the long term reservoir behavior. Continuous chemical and radiochemical data were obtained to aid in analysis of well performance, explosive yield calculations, and surveillance for public health and safety assurances.Future activities at Project Rulison will concern the regulatory matters with respect to marketing of the gas.
