Computer calculation of electromagnetic chapacteristics of toroidal inductive energy strages with account for a real geometry of the magnetic system

Description

The results of numerical calculation of electromagnetic characteristics of toroidal magnetic systems (TMS), assembled of cylindrical sections of round or arbitrary cross section are presented. Four types of algorithms are developed in which as elementary current region thin, twin, thin cylinder, small cross section prism, thin finite length and width plate are employed. Experimental check of correctness and accuracy of mathemaical models contained in algorithms has been performed at the TMS 6-section model with cylindrical sections of the round cross section. In the field of section joining maximum values of magnetic induction, volumetric and linear radial force can be calculated by formulas for continuous toroidal windina with accuracy up to 1-2 %. Mathematical models realized in developed algorithms and programs permits to calculate electromagnetic TMS characteristics with sufficient for practical purposes accuracy
