Some peculiarities of interaction in the Hf2Fe-H2 system at low temperatures and high pressures
- 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Moscow (Russian Federation)
Description
Hydride formation in the Hf2Fe-H2 system at the hydrogen pressures up to 2000 atm and temperatures from 195 to 295 K has been investigated. The hydride phases of various compositions were characterised by X-ray diffraction. Two reaction path resulting in the formation of two stable phases take place depending on the conditions of the initial hydrogenation. Hydrogen absorption at the pressure close to 2000 atm leads to the formation of hydride with the hydrogen content up to 2 H atoms per metal atom. The model of hydrogen atoms localization in crystalline lattice of the hydride phases is purposed. 11 refs., 1 figs., 1 tabs
