Additional therapeutic agents in radiation-induced hemorrhagic diathesis

The article reports on animal experiments carried out to test the efficiency of several therapeutic agents in the treatment and in the prevention of haemorrhagic symptoms after irradiation. The following substances were tested: Thrombocyte extract (+ antifibrinolytic agents), phospholipids (+ antifibrinolytic agents), acid, drugs acting on the vascular factors of haemostasis, and substances contanining SH. As far as the bleeding intensity and the shortening of the bleeding time is concerned, the substances partially showed good efficiency. (MG)

Abstract (German)

Es wird ueber Tierversuche zur Wirksamkeit verschiedener Therapeutika bei der Behandlung und Vorbeugung von haemorrhagischen Erscheinungen nach Bestrahlung berichtet. Untersucht wurden folgende Substanzen: Thrombozytenextrakte (+ Antifibrinolytika), Hirn-Phospholipide (+ Antifibrinolytika), Ellagsaeure, Pharmaka, die auf die vaskulaeren Faktoren der Haemostase wirken und SH-haltige Substanzen. Die untersuchten Substanzen zeigten zum Teil eine gute Wirksamkeit, was die Verkuerzung der Blutungszeit und die Verminderung der Blutungsintensitaet betrifft. (MG)
